February, 28, 2019 Dennis reached a monumental milestone in his running career, breaking 100,000 career miles! 



In the early morning hours of Thursday, February 28,2019, Dennis braved the cold wintry mix and completed the last 5 miles on his journey to break the 100,000 mile mark!  Dedicating 40 years and 7 ½ months of his life to running he says has brought amazing joy and happiness to him.  It has served not only as his personal joy, but also many opportunities that have helped raise thousands of dollars to help individuals with disabilities, the community JayPack program to purchase weekend meals, winter apparel, family holiday food baskets, and school supplies.

Dennis says he will continue to run but his focus will be to take every additional 1,000 mile mark as an accomplishment!

 A celebration was held for Dennis to recognize and honor him on reaching his milestone. 

  



Dennis can often be seen running along his concrete driveway most days, adding more miles to his lifetime achievement.

 The staff of DCAI presented Dennis with a plaque commemorating his achievement.
